At The School of Fiber Arts at Conversational Threads, our friendly and experienced Instructors offer a wide range of Classes to students of every skill level and interest. As a shop, we hold frequent Special Events and Celebrations.

These General Crochet Sessions are for Advanced Beginners (you know how to chain, single and double
crochet) and Intermediate Beginners (you are proficient in all basic stitches and increases and
decreases, can follow most pattern instructions and have completed several projects using these skills).

Lavanya will now be offering a monthly
general brioche class! This class is open to
beginners or experienced knitters and it
will be a fun, relaxed 2 hours of general
brioche help. Bring your brioche projects,
problems and questions. Beginner patterns
can be purchased in the shop or online prior
to class.

Learn to Knit with Cheri

class you'll cover the basics of knitting.

Love Is In The Air Hat
Double Knitting
with Cheri

Double Knitting is fun, let Cheri
show you how to do it! Double knit
fabric is reversible; you are literally knitting
both sides of your project
at the same time, creating a very soft, squishy
and warm fabric. In this class
you'll create a cute hat
while learning the
basic technique, as well as tips and
tricks to make double knitting fun!
Materials: 2 hanks of sport
weight yarn in contrasting colors;
US size 6 - 16" circular needles, or size required
to achieve gauge;
US size 6 DPN's (or 40-inch circular
needle for magic loop), or size

Granny Square Poncho

This Granny Square Poncho is a
beautiful, wearable garment that you
can easily crochet. Four fabulous
granny squares are joined together
using the join as you go
technique (jaygo) and the neck
and bottom are finished in a simple
granny stripe to tie it all together.
The Granny Square Poncho is a great garment
for any season or occasion!

Two-Handed Fair Isle

In this class learn to do Fair Isle knitting
the best way - Two-Handed!
Let Linda teach you the techniques

Norwegian Star Hat as you learn.
Materials: Two high-contrasting
colors of worsted weight yarn,
US size 7 - 16" circular needle
OR two US size 7 circular needles
(any length)
OR one set of US size 7 DPN's.

IMPORTANT - HOMEWORK:
Cast on 96 stitches in the main color

Squared Away
Crochet Fingerless Gloves

Timeless granny squares adorn the front and
back of these fun and easy fingerless gloves. The
wristband and finger band are created with slip
stitches to give the "knitted" look of the bands.

My First Sweater Class with Linda
Cost is $35 for 3 one-on-one one-hour sessions, payable in cash or by check to Linda Miller at the beginning of your first session.
Linda is introducing a new class for those of you who would like to add knitting a sweater to your skill set.
Flax by Tin Can Knits is the perfect sweater for anyone who would like to attempt knitting their first sweater. Available for free on Ravelry.com in 19 sizes from 0-6 months to 6XL, Flax is knit in an Aran or worsted weight yarn for a quick project. Or choose Flax Light which is done in fingering weight. So many customization options are available for this sweater, including directions for a cropped or a regular length.
