At The School of Fiber Arts at Conversational Threads, our friendly and experienced Instructors offer a wide range of Classes to students of every skill level and interest. As a shop, we hold frequent Special Events and Celebrations.

Crochet Sessions with Deb Diefenderfer
General Crochet Sessions
Mondays, 6:30 to 8:30PM
Thursdays, 6:30 to 8:30PM
Class Fee $15 per session in cash or Venmo.
These General Crochet Sessions are for Advanced Beginners (you know how to chain, single and double
crochet) and Intermediate Beginners (you are proficient in all basic stitches and increases and
decreases, can follow most pattern instructions and have completed several projects using these skills).

Knitting with Cheri - Saturdays

Spend some time knitting with Cheri on Saturday Mornings.
Start a new project, work through projects you've already started and need some help with,
or bring your knitting boo-boos to fix.
This class is perfect for beginners and advanced beginners.

Lavanya will now be offering a monthly
general brioche class! This class is open to
beginners or experienced knitters and it
will be a fun, relaxed 2 hours of general
brioche help. Bring your brioche projects,
problems and questions. Beginner patterns
can be purchased in the shop or online prior
to class.

Learn to Knit with Cheri
3 Wednesdays
November 6, 13, & 20
6:00-7:30PM
Cost is $45 for all 3 sessions.
Cheri loves knitting, and she wants
you to love it, too! In this 3 week
class you'll cover the basics of knitting.
You'll learn how to cast on, knit, purl,
bind-off and more! You'll practice on
small swatches and get started on
a scarf by the last class.
Materials: 1 hank Cascade 220, or
similar worsted weight yarn; US
size 8 - 24" needles (wooden needles
are recommended).

Night and Day Cowl

solution to cooler temps when you
still need to use your fingers.
These cables mitts are fun to knit,

Squared Away
Crochet Fingerless Gloves

Skill Level: Intermediate Crocheter
(Understanding of granny square,
magic ring, double crochet,
slip stitches)
Timeless granny squares adorn the front and
back of these fun and easy fingerless gloves. The
wristband and finger band are created with slip
stitches to give the "knitted" look of the bands.
Finished Measurements:
9" circumference; 7.5" length
Gauge for the Granny Square:
3.5" square using E/4 (3.5mm) hook

I Love Entrelac!
Class with Cheri

Let's learn how to do Entrelac, a
knitted fabric that looks woven.
You'll learn the technique for
knitting Entrelac flat, how
to knit backwards, and get a lot of
practice picking up stitches, You will
learn on a swatch, and we will
discuss pattern options during the
last class.

Daisy Farm Crafts can be made in any size with
any type of worsted weight yarn. It's a great
project using up ends of yarn from your stash.

My First Sweater Class with Linda
Cost is $35 for 3 one-on-one one-hour sessions, payable in cash or by check to Linda Miller at the beginning of your first session.
Linda is introducing a new class for those of you who would like to add knitting a sweater to your skill set.
Flax by Tin Can Knits is the perfect sweater for anyone who would like to attempt knitting their first sweater. Available for free on Ravelry.com in 19 sizes from 0-6 months to 6XL, Flax is knit in an Aran or worsted weight yarn for a quick project. Or choose Flax Light which is done in fingering weight. So many customization options are available for this sweater, including directions for a cropped or a regular length.
