This class is great for beginners!  You will learn how to warp your loom for two mug rugs, plain weave, and to change threads or colors.  Mug rugs are better than coasters as there's enough room for a coffee mug, your phone, and some bits and bobs.

The sample is made with Cascade Heritage Wave yarn in fingering weight, which creates effortless gradients in your weaving.  The warp is a strong cotton in a coordinated color.

Having a rigid heddle loom of your own is recommended.  You can purchase one at the shop, or you may borrow a shop loom, but it cannot be removed from the shop to work on your project in-between classes.  At the end of the class sessions you will have the opportunity to purchase the borrowed loom if you wish.

Requirements for this project:

1 skein of Cascade Heritage Wave or similar in fingering weight 220 yards of cotton/cotton blend yarn in worsted weight or heavy DK

Scissors and tapestry needle

Payment: cash or check made payable to Katie Pfenninger due on the first day of the class.  Additional finishing class available at extra cost.
