Beginner's Knitting Course (And Beyond!) - Plus Knitter's Help Class
Thursday Afternoons from 3:00PM to 5:00PM
Thursday Evenings from 6:30PM to 8:30PM
Sunday Afternoons from 2:00PM to 4:00PM
Beginner's Knitting is a 5 Week Course ($75.00 in advance), with specific projects designed to learn basic knitting skills for any beginner or returning knitter. Students can continue weekly classes, selecting projects of their choice based on their skill level at $10 per session thereafter, payable as you go.
The Knitter's Help Class is a one time - or as many as you need - session run at the same time as the Beginner's Knitting Course to let Jean give you a hand to help current knitters learn a new technique or help you over a hurdle in your current knitting project.
The Beginner's Knitting Course is for the Absolute Beginning New Knitter or for Start Again Knitters, for those wanting to learn to knit or for those who have knitted long ago but have forgotten most of what they knew. After you have learned the basics, let Jean guide you as you move beyond into more complex projects.
Students can attend as many sessions per week as desired, but they must register for each session they wish to attend in order to maintain a comfortable number of students per session so that everyone is able to get sufficient attention for their needs.
Students will complete four projects in the course. Project One will be a wool hotpad, Project Two will be a ribbed scarf, Project Three will be a hat with a ribbed brim, and Project Four will be a pair of fingerless mitts with a thumb gusset. Skills learned will be the knit stitch, the purl stitch, casting on, binding off, increasing, decreasing, knitting in the round and more.
You must register for your Beginner's Knitting or Knitter's Help session by emailing the teacher - email@example.com

Steeking Without Fear with Ragga
Saturday, June 23rd, 1:00PM - 4:00PM | Cost $60.00
Join Ragga Eiriksdottir as she takes you into the mysterious world of cutting your knitting! Icelanders knit everything in the round and they fearlessly steek their cardigans. This class will teach you the principles behind knitting cardigans in the round and then will show you two methods of steeking them. Examples and tips on finishing are included, as well as instruction on the German twisted cast on (my personal new favorite!), continental knitting and Icelandic purling, joining in the round, magic loop, and stranded knitting with two colors including managing yarn dominance. So much information - all for one price! Supply List: 50 yards of LettLopi in a light color and approximately 10 yards in a contrast color, US 7/4.5mm 32" circular needles (bring DPNs if you like them), a piece of scrap yarn, darning needle, crochet hook size B or C. Class is limited to 15 students.
